We offer a walking tour around the downtown and the most typical neighborhoods of Lisbon, with stops to taste the famous Ginjinha (Sour Cherry Liquor) and the famous Pastel de Nata (Custard Tart). We are going to wander around downtown area as well as explore the most famous hills of the city and the authentic Alfama neighborhood, the oldest in town. This walk includes awesome viewpoints, typical neighborhoods and much more in a very relaxed and informative environment.

What to Expect? (+) We meet at D. Pedro IV square (Rossio) with a smile and start our adventure from there. The first mandatory stop is to taste the famous Sour Cherry Liquor (Ginjinha) in the most typical shop, visit to S. Domingos church and Figueira Square and start our climb towards the Castle, with a stop at the first viewpoint (Chão do Loureiro Market). On our way to the Castle and to recover our energetic level, we stop to taste the famous Pastel de Nata (Custard Tart), the most typical pastry of Lisbon that is impossible to resist. Pass through the Castle gates and start climbing down till we reach the Santa Luzia viewpoint with stops at two urban art highlights of the city, made by the artists Vhils and Bordalo 2. Enjoy the magnificent river and city views from Santa Luzia viewpoint and continue our walk passing through the narrow and authentic streets of Alfama neighborhood, where we are going to wander around and learn about the traditions of its people. Pass through the magnificent Sé Cathedral, the oldest and more significant in the city, built in the 12th century, just after the christian reconquest of the city to the Moorish people. From here, we continue our journey till the bottom of the Hill, where we are wandering around the pedestrian Augusta street, passing by the Santa Justa lift and another urban art Icon. We climb up to the Carmo Square and learn about the history about the 1755 earthquake and the Carnation Revolution (25th of April of 1974), we finish our adventure at the Santa Justa viewpoint with amazing views to the city and the Castle. From here we climb down back to Rossio square and we finish our journey. This walk is very suitable for people with less time to explore Lisbon and the history of this wonderful city, this way, on a relaxed and informative way, they can learn, discover and explore the hidden treasures of Lisbon. To finish our day in beauty we visit a winery and taste some wines before we head back to Lisbon. As an optional we can add a Dolphin watching boat trip at Sado River to this tour, Dolphin watching is almost 100 % guaranteed and it’s very normal to spot a lot of bird species, Sado river has the only dolphin resident community in the country.
